November Manitowoc County Genealogical Society Meeting

Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 6pm in the Balkansky Room, Manitowoc Public Library, 707 Quay St., Manitowoc, WI

Program: “A Look at Old German Records”, with Karyl Rommelfanger.  Now is your chance.  Bring in a photocopy of an old German document and have some help translating it.  (Please don’t bring in any original documents. They are too precious.)  Karyl holds degrees in German and History and has taught German in the public schools for 36 years, most of those years here in Manitowoc.   She’s a true wealth of information.  Visitors Welcome!  MCGS volunteers generously offer genealogy help on Tuesdays from 3pm–5pm in the Local History Area of Manitowoc Public Library.

“Genetically Speaking: a DNA Workshop” with Mary Eberle was wonderful!

If you wanted to get up to speed on DNA and Genealogy this workshop was the place to be on Saturday!

Mary Eberle’s presentations were excellent.   I am so grateful that we (Manitowoc County Genealogical Society) and the Manitowoc Public Library were able to cosponsor this event for our community!   I hope everyone that attended had a great experience and learned a lot.   I know I did.   If you were unable to attend this event, check out www.DNAHunters.com   Mary’s website provides many valuable tips, resources & links.
